    Dr. Brandie DePaoli Taylor received her PhD in reproductive epidemiology from the School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh and completed her postdoctoral training in perinatal epidemiology. She has been funded by the NIH, HRSA, (2 R01, R21, R40, and T76 as PI/PD) and foundation grants to conduct epidemiologic, clinical, and translational studies. This has included epidemiologic investigations of sexually transmitted infections and immune dysfunction in reproductive failures. She frequently collaborates on studies that utilize experimental approaches to understand mechanisms of preterm birth. More recently, her research has focused on social inequality and nativity on risk of reproductive and obstetric complications. Dr. DePaoli Taylor’s research is nationally and internationally recognized. She was awarded the Pitt Public Health Distinguished Alumni Award for Early Career Excellence in recognition of her outstanding contributions to advancing reproductive and perinatal public health. She serves as Treasurer for the Preterm Birth International Collaborative, a global organization of clinicians and researchers focused on reducing preterm birth rates and is an Associate Editor for the American Journal of Epidemiology, a prestigious journal in her field. In addition to research, Dr. DePaoli Taylor has contributed significantly to teaching and mentoring. Dr. Brandie DePaoli Taylor joined Advocate Aurora Research Institute in September 2024.
