Interests include Community Medicine, School-Based Health, and Evidence-Based Medicine. Born and raised in Marathon City, WI (population 1214), Dr. Brill completed his residency and a faculty development fellowship at the Aurora St. Luke's program in 1996, later earning a Master of Public Health degree. Dr. Brill received the Hanson Award, awarded to an outstanding junior faculty member of the UW, in 1999 and Teacher of the Year Award in 2007, and WI Family Medicine Educator of the Year Award in 2011. Curricular responsibilities include the residency Community Health rotation, which focuses on training in the areas of population health, public health and practice management. Dr. Brill is past president and Chairman of the Board of the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians.
