Abstract
Two-dimensional echocardiographic examination of the atrial septum and direct visualization of ostium primum and ostium secundum atrial septal defect have been documented. Herein our first two cases of sinus venosus atrial septal defect detected by the two-dimensional method are presented. The subcostal transducer position has proved the most useful and allows complete evaluation of the atrial septum, as is discussed.
